Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

The Center was founded in 1982 by Darrell J Patterson to address the growing need for a recreational activities for the youth in the Fourth Ward community. Mr. Patterson ran the center until his death in 2017. Today, the center director is Charonda J. Johnson a resident of the community, a local Historia, and the gate keeper of Freedmen's Town.
